Live but let die

Terminally ill Venkatesh, died on Friday. The court had denied his plea for euthanasia so that all of his organs could be harvested. Since doctors were not prepared for the harvest procedure coz death came suddenly to Venkatesh, so only his eyes could be donated. Is it wrong to demand a right to die? If a person’s life is his own, so is his death. Why shouldn’t people have a legal right to end their own life, especially in the case of terminally ill patients who know that they dont have much time left and the days that remain shall only bring pain and suffering. Venkatesh wanted to die voluntarily for a noble cause, he wanted to live after death by donating organs. The court had dismissed his petition on 15th December, he died on 17th.
